Once completed, I like to run my hands gently over the surface of a junk mail collage. Why? Why, you ask? Well, if you must know, it’s because the texture of a junk mail collage is, in a word, irresistible. I would describe it as “smooth yet nubbly”. I know I probably shouldn’t be manhandling the thing but it cannot be helped.
Don’t worry. Very soon this sweet one will be in a new home. Safely away from my groping little hands.

thanks Alessandra, I'll have to refresh my memory on Klimt. Art history is a long time ago now…

So lovely…msy have to try collage Michele. I have been saving those return envelopes. You know, the ones with the patterns on them. Paper and cardboard….sweet close cousins!

PS. Sadly I do not sew…at all. I believe safety pins were invented to reattach buttons, so no sewing needed!

Ha ha, well there is always collage right? I'd love to see an envelope paper collage. Send me a pic when you make one. ๐

It's beautiful!
Would you turn that into a quilt, or are you done with a design once you've done it in some way?
