Hello 2016.Hi.
Nice to make your acquaintance.
You’re so fresh and new aren’t you? You’ve barely even taken a breath. Let me help you with that. I’ve been here for some time now and breathing is pretty much second-nature to me. See? I can do it with my eyes closed and with both hands tied behind my back. An old pro I am.
Do you think we’ll get along you and I? I sure hope so. The last few years came with moments of uncertainty and doubt, moments of distinct fogginess. But as far as years go, 2016, I have a good feeling about you.
Yeah. You know what? We’re gonna get along like a house on fire, 2016. Just you wait.

P. S. The above crockery is a piece I had a lovely time decorating and glazing at our local Crock A Doodle (aka: Paint-Your-Own-Pottery-Store) prior to this Christmas. I gifted it to my Elle during our 2015 family gift exchange. This is a fun fun fun and easy easy easy craft that you ought to try if you like to paint and such. The final kiln-fired result is food and dishwasher safe, and beautiful too.

I like your bowl! When at first I spied it, I thought, my, what a nice vintage-looking bowl. But then I read on and found out that you had made it yourself. Pat yourself on the back for such a nice looking bowl and HAPPY NEW YEAR! to you and yours.

Thanks, it does look kinda vintage-y doesn't it? I'm patting myself on the back even as I type this. 🙂

Happy New Year Michele! I hope 2016 brings you all you wish for and more. Love the bowl you painted. I was gifted a mug that my cousin's son painted for me years ago and still treasure it today. Such a lovely idea for a gift!

Hi Jill! And a Happy New Year to you as well. Hope all is well with you! I'm happy with the bowl, as was my daughter, and it was so much fun to make. 🙂
