You may have noticed that Blogger has recently introduced threaded commenting. This new development allows for direct response by both you and I to specific comments within the comments section. Thusly, I will no longer be responding to comments via email but rather responding here on the blog within that section. I’m very much hoping this will work well and simplify things for us. Fingers-crossed!
If you’d like to contact me privately, you can always send me an email at michelemademe (AT) gmail (DOT) com.
Have a happy day now!

Note: The above wedding card was designed by The Boy. It was then rendered in paper by me.

does that mean I have to some back here to read if you responded?
or does it send me an email saying you commented on my comment?
Michele Pacey says
that's a very good question Debbie. I'm assuming you'll have to come back here for responses but I'm not 100% sure…
Debbie DeBaeremaeker says
yep- saw your newer post and was reminded to come back here.
i did not get an email- so it will require people to go back to your site.
Kristi says
That was my question to….Do we have to come back here and check if you commented or will it notify us?? Interesting development!!!

Sweet! I hadn't seen that update from Blogger – that's a great improvement.
As for seeing responses from you, curious commenters will probably want to return to the post or subscribe to the post's comments (see link below in green, 'subscribe to: post comments (atom)'). You may get more info than you need (i.e. all the comments to that particular post), but at least you won't miss a reply from Michele!
Michele Pacey says
Oh thanks for responding to that Charissa. Very helpful indeed! So people can choose to subscribe to that post's comments only. And if they have a question, the answer will come to them via email. Coolio!

I've noticed with my several blogger buddies that the comment format has changed but mine hasn't. I am also on blogger. The comment section is the same boring one. Did you do anything in the setup section or did it automatically switch onto this?
Btw, the card is awesome! Love the colors and the scenery!
Michele Pacey says
Thanks Maya! If you check the following link there's a full explanation of how to set up the threaded comments. Here it is:

Thank you!

Surely this will mean we will have to keep going back to all blogs we leave comments on to see if they have left us messages there? This will prove interesting.

Hello, Michele! This is the way I've been blogging for two years now with most of my blog-friends. I find it exciting – something close to the feeling when you open the post-box to look for a letter. And every time you are full of sweet expectation!:)I hope you'll like it!
The card is so lively!
Saraccino says
The card is gorgeous! I love the design, several layers and the dotted animals! 🙂
About the comment system… I am not so sure whether I like it. I thought about installing it but when I discussed in comment sections with others, it was enough to use @"name"
I love to comment on a lot of blogs which I don't visit regularly and I also love to receive answers. But to be honest, I won't check to every blog and comment I ever made… and also I won't subscribe by email every new comment on a blog entry. My email account is full enough with friends, work, etc. At the beginning of discovering blogs I subscribed every time…
To be honest: I prefer an answer by email. It is a direct and nice way and especially a more personal way of communication. 🙂

PS: The ones I reply (or try to :)) directly in the comment section are the comments with a no-reply email adress 🙂
Michele Pacey says
Thanks for the feedback Claire. I was having difficulty responding in numerous ways to the various comments whether no-reply, anonymous, or regular, on old posts and new. That's the reason I've decided to go this route. I absolutely understand not going back to the source blog to see if your comment's been replied to. But I'm trying to keep it simple for myself. The previous comment set-up was out-of-hand and was affecting my level of interest. I'm hoping this new set-up will help. I'm going to test it out for a while, see if it works, and then re-evaluate at a later date… We'll see how it plays out in the comments. 🙂
Saraccino says
You're right… in the end it is a question of time and just keeping the own time (and nerves!) somehow safe 🙂 It will always be possible to change from case to case… and blogging should be more fun than work! 🙂
By the way… My blog changed from itself to comments which can be replied in a direct way… ^^
CREATIVE MIND says
hmm,,seems good..well I am already doing this comment reply in my comment section,, I think its good to respond at your own blog comment box,so if any other reader is also having the same question which the other one is asking..so many people can be able to know something at once..hmmm..
Michele Pacey says
That's a very good point Khadija. That way every reader can benefit from the answers even those who come later… Good stuff!

There's a hitch to the comment thread stuff… you have to enable full feed settings. Rats. Oh, well. I'll still comment! 🙂
