The day wherein crafty blogs far and near join Sew Mama Sew in a craftospheric-wide gift-giving extravaganza extraordinaire. The chances of winning a prize today are ama-ZING. Today I aim to give away some loveliness as well. If you’re new to Michele Made Me, welcome! So glad you could join in the fun.
This day is thricely special to me. I’m officially celebrating my 1st blogiversary (which actually took place last month but sorta got shoved to the nether regions of the to-do pile). I’ve recently published my 200th post. Yippee! And I’ve witnessed this blog’s 400, 000th pageview. Hurrah! A lot of round numbers and many ‘a milestone for sure.
Perhaps you are wondering what is getting given. Perhaps you wish me to get on with it and cease my incessant blathering. Indeed. Forgive me. Let’s do this thing.
First off, contrary to popular belief, I am NOT giving away dandelions. They just somehow got themselves into my pictures. They’re everywhere.
This is what I will be giving-away:
1. One me-designed handbag upcycled from an old sweater, and inspired by the book “ReSew” by Jenny Wilding Cardon and published by Martingale & Company.
2. One copy of “ReSew” which I reviewed in my last post here.
3. Five fat quarters from the Art Gallery “Color Splash” collection.
4. One seam ripper by Clover.
5. One package of 16 embroidery needles, size 3/9 by John James.

To enter you must:

The winner will be randomly chosen on Thursday, May 26th, 2011 @ 6 pm EST and announced in Friday’s post.

    My favourite colour has hardly varied—it's indigo, a very dark blue purple. Over the years since I was a kid it's varied to blues or purples, but settles at indigo. Now that I think about that, it's kind of weird!

    My all time favourite colours.. they change by the moods I have, some days I love the beach colours, sand/sea and sky and some days I love a deep dark orange/red. So I’m a bit of a cheater!

    I love the way colors work together, two or more pieces of fabric put together to make a work of art. My favorite combo at the moment is a great brown, blue and green fabric that I am loving combining with other greens and blues.

    my all time favorite color is a purply-red, from Texas mustang grapes after smashing the grapes for wine the juice turned a fantastic color..haven't seen that color anywhere except that grape juice…thanks.. mj

    Does black count? Ever since I first saw Mortician Addams on TV it's been my favorite color. I grew up in the 60s in a small town, and back then no one one wore black but jelly beans!     Definitely an earthling. That I know. As for my all time favourite colour, that's harder to determine. I've always had a preference for the blue-green part of the spectrum. Almost anything between but not really including blue and yellow. Today, I'd have to say it's Sap Green that does it for me. Perhaps because that is the rich colour that has sprouted in my backyard meadow, gently framing the lovely long stemmed dandelions that will soon be gracing a vase on my dining room table. I'm a lucky mama to get flowers almost every day.

    I am trying to figure out which colour I couldn't erase under no circumstances… and it turn out it is no colour. It would be black… boring… but I love dark purple and fiery red… a cool aqua and a soothing turquoise… a rich green with swirl of gold in it… the shade only dark silver can reach… brown with warmth in it which just seems boring at the first though but brings a lot of deepness into everything…

    Just thing being without them only having ONE colour!… shudder…

    If you looked around my house, wardrobe, Etsy shop, and even wedding photos from years ago, you would definitely see my love for aqua. Call it Tiffany Blue, Robin's Egg blue, or Sky Blue. I will take them all. But my real favorite color of all times is actually…gray. That's right. It calms and soothes me. I never tire of it. I love gray with aqua (seriously, all over my house). My most recent obsession is gray with yellow (if only you could see my kitchen). I just think gray is so versatile and dynamic, and I don't think I'll ever get sick of it.
