A rainy Sunday morning was spent inside rescuing some plastic strawberry baskets from their recycling-bin fate. We took some pieces of ribbon (I have a huge stash of these) and embellished away!
The boy, who’s 6 years old, had no trouble weaving his chosen bits of ribbon in and out of those little spaces. (I can’t say the same for myself.) In the end, I helped him only with the gluing of ribbon ends; this was a mostly independent project for him, his favourite kind!
Our baskets are very simply decorated but I can imagine endless wonderful basket possibilities! His is the colourful one (and my favourite I grudgingly admit.) Mine is the pastel/brown one.
